An area code is a form of local pride and while the area codes 770 and 678 were introduced later, the original area code for Atlanta is 404. As a Korean-American raised in Georgia, I wanted to find a way to marry 404 with my Korean identity.

The characters in the Korean word “사”, which translates to the word “four” were modified to resemble the number four. This combination gave the logomark its dual meaning and represents Korean-Americans in Atlanta. Uncovering and discovering this logomark was a rewarding process.
